FlashStats

Support: Tech Notes

Tech note FS1319

Description
FlashStats only shows results up through a certain date.

Answer
The most common cause of this problem is that your log files contain some bad data which causes FlashStats to stop analyzing them at that point.

The best solution is to remove the bad data from your log files. To find where the bad data is, run a report for just the last day on which you are getting results. Make sure that you generate the Hits Per Hour report.

Look at the Hits Per Hour report, and see where the hits stop. Then, open the appropriate log file and scroll down to around that date and time. In most cases you will be able to see the problem because the log file entries will look dramatically different than the other lines. When you have found the bad data, either fix it or delete, whichever is easiest. Then save the log file and rerun FlashStats. At this point FlashStats should be able to analyze all of your data successfully.

Version 1.4 of FlashStats includes improved robustness to handle bad data.
