FlashStats

Support: Tech Notes

Tech note FS1331

Description
Is FlashStats year 2000 compliant?

Answer
FlashStats 1.4 is fully year 2000 compliant, assuming that your web server's log files write the year with 4-digits. Prior versions of FlashStats are not fully Y2K compliant. If you running an older version of FlashStats you should upgrade to version 1.4. (Upgrades are free for registered customers.)

If FlashStats finds a 2-digit year that ranges from 91-99 in a log file, FlashStats will convert it to the year 1991-1999. Any 4-digit year (numbers greater than or equal to 1900) are taken literally. Other than that, FlashStats will not support 2-digit years in the next century. (For example, FlashStats will not correctly identify a 2-digit "00" as 2000.) So make sure that by the year 2000 your web server starts logging dates with 4-digit years.
