Here is a brief overview of the limitations in FlashStats 2005 beta 9.
When you use the calendar to select dates to analyze, the calendar will "hold" the mouse focus a little longer than it should. In particular, once you click anywhere within the calendar, then the next click outside of the calendar may not be recognized. You may need to click a second time for the click to have any effect. This will be fixed in the next beta.
Any file type with a short extension will match a longer
extension that starts with the same characters. For example, if you have
defined ".z" as a file of type Download, then all files with an extension
starting with ".z", such as ".zip" or ".ztxt", will be matched as Download files.
This should not cause a conflict with any of the standard file type
definitions. This was fixed in beta 3.
Beta 9 only supports W3C log files generated by Microsoft IIS 4 or later, or Common (or Extended) Log Format files (such as those generated by Apache).
Beta 9 only supports one log set (per defined web site).
Beta 9 has limited support for filters and tests. Filter functionality will be fully implemented in the next beta.
Beta 9 only supports drag & drop of filters. The next beta will support dragging of additional data types such as files and URLs.
Beta 4 fixed a bug which caused subsequent reports to get different totals than the first reports.
