Introduction

Thank you for using Maximized Software FlashStats 2005!

FlashStats provides an easy way to analyze the usage of your web site. You can use FlashStats to quickly and easily tell which parts of your web site are the most popular, how many hits and visits your site is getting, what search terms are being used to find your site, and much more. Advanced features make it easy to drill down into important results.

Concepts

FlashStats 2005 is a Windows application that runs on your computer. FlashStats will download the log files from your web server to your local desktop computer and analyze them on your computer.

FlashStats does not require any software to be installed on your web server, nor does it require you to make any changes to the pages on your web site. FlashStats can analyze most common web server log files, regardless of the type of web server software or operating system used.

FlashStats 2005 includes a utility called BitKinex which downloads log files from the web server to your local computer. When you purchase a license for your copy of FlashStats 2005 you will also get a license for BitKinex.

How to use the documentation

You can get up and running with FlashStats by reading the Quick Start Guide. It will help you to set up FlashStats and run your first reports.

After you have run some reports you may want to read the rest of the documentation to learn about the advanced features of FlashStats.

Finally, be sure to read the Beta notes to learn about any limitations in beta 9 of FlashStats.
