I don't use Outlook on my primary computer, can I still use GoPOP?
No, GoPOP only works with the Outlook mail client installed and running on the primary computer. GoPOP runs alongside Outlook on the same computer. Outlook Express however, is not supported.
Will GoPOP work with my Blackberry?
Because the Blackberry device cannot be configured to retrieve email from a standard POP3 mailbox of your choosing, it will not work with GoPOP.
Will GoPOP work with my x-brand PDA?
GoPOP will work with any PDA (Palm, Handspring, Jornada, PocketPC, etc.) that has both wireless capabilities and a standard email client installed. Click here for sample device configurations. If you encounter problems with your specific PDA/email client, please either email us, including your PDA model, OS, and email software information; or submit this information via our support form.
Will GoPOP work with my x-brand cell phone?
GoPOP will work with any cell phone that has a standard, configurable email client that enables access to a POP3 server. If you encounter problems using GoPOP with your phone, please either email us, including your phone model and its email software information; or submit this information via our support form.
I don't have a static IP address on my primary computer, can I still use GoPOP?
Yes! You can still use GoPOP, however, you will need to run a third party program that determines your IP address for you. One such free program is Winip.
My primary computer is behind a firewall, will GoPOP still work?
Yes! However, if your primary computer is behind a firewall, be sure to configure the firewall (or have your network admin configure it) to allow incoming connections to your primary computer on port 110, or on whichever port you configure in GoPOP. See Chapter 3 of the GoPOP documentation for more information.
Do I need special software on my remote device to use GoPOP?
No, GoPOP does not require any specific software be installed on your remote computer/device - any standard and configurable email client on your device is all that is needed. For sample device configurations, click here.
Do I need to install GoPOP on both my primary computer and my remote device?
No, GoPOP is only installed on you primary computer. Click here for setup instructions.
Do I need to use Outlook on my remote device in order to use GoPOP?
No, GoPOP does not require Outlook to be installed/running on the remote device. Any standard and configurable email client is all that is needed. For sample device configurations, click here. Note that Outlook must be installed on your primary computer however.
Can I view all my mail with GoPOP, including subfolders, multiple mail identities, sent mail, outbox, etc.?
